Our 4-Step Verification Process
Application & Document Submission
Same dayThe lawyer registers on FindLawyer.lk and submits their application along with key credentials: their Sri Lanka Bar Association enrolment number, National Identity Card or passport, and proof of current practice.
SLBA Register Cross-Check
1 business dayOur verification team manually cross-references the submitted enrolment number against the official Sri Lanka Bar Association registry. We confirm the name, enrolment year, and current status of the applicant.
Contact & Identity Confirmation
1–2 business daysWe conduct a brief verification call to the lawyer's registered office or mobile number to confirm identity and ensure the contact details on file are accurate and reachable.
Profile Approval & Verified Badge
Within 3 business days totalOnce all checks pass, the lawyer's profile is approved and receives the official FindLawyer.lk Verified badge. The profile becomes visible in search results and can be contacted by clients.
What We Verify
- SLBA enrolment number validity and current standing
- Full legal name matches submitted identity document

- Office address is a genuine, reachable location
- Contact phone number is active and reachable
- No active disbarment or suspension proceedings
What Verification Does Not Cover
- Endorse or recommend specific lawyers over others
- Verify the quality of individual legal advice given
- Guarantee outcomes in legal proceedings
- Mediate fee disputes between lawyers and clients
How Long Does Verification Take?
Most applications are reviewed and approved within 1–3 business days. Applications submitted on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next working day. If additional information is needed, our team will contact you by email.
