Yes, searching and browsing lawyer profiles is completely free. You pay nothing to create an account or send an inquiry. Lawyers pay a subscription to list their profiles on the platform.

Use the search bar on the homepage to search by practice area, location or name. You can also filter by district, availability, and consultation fee. Once you find a suitable lawyer, click Contact to send them a message directly.

Every lawyer who applies to list on FindLawyer.lk is manually verified by our team against the Sri Lanka Bar Association register. We check their professional credentials, enrollment number, and contact information before approving their profile.

A Verified badge on a lawyer's profile means we have confirmed their credentials with the Sri Lanka Bar Association. It does not constitute a legal endorsement or recommendation — always conduct your own due diligence.

No. FindLawyer.lk is a marketplace — we connect you with lawyers. All fee arrangements and payments are made directly between you and your chosen lawyer. We recommend agreeing on fees in writing before engaging any legal services.

Lawyers set their own consultation fees and are responsible for keeping them up to date. Fees displayed are indicative and may vary. Always confirm the exact fee with the lawyer before booking a consultation.

Yes. We take your privacy seriously. When you send an inquiry to a lawyer, only that lawyer can see your contact details. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page in your account. All your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days of the request.

Click Register, select the Lawyer option, and complete the registration form. After submitting your credentials for verification, our team typically approves profiles within 1–3 business days. You will receive an email confirmation.

Your public profile shows your name, photo, practice areas, office location, languages, consultation fee, bio, qualifications, and client reviews. Your email address and phone number are not shown publicly — clients contact you via our secure messaging system.

Yes. You can set your availability status (Available, Busy, or Unavailable) from the lawyer dashboard. When set to Unavailable, your profile will not appear in search results.
